Beanies 4 Buddies Basic Hat and Matching hat for Beanie Baby

Materials:

Worsted Weight Yarn
Size 8 or 9 needles
Yarn Needle

-Cast On 64 Stitches
-Knit Until piece measures 5.5 inches from cast-on edge
-Begin Decreasing:

Decrease Row 1: *Knit 2 Together*, repeat across entire row (There should now be 32 stitches)
Decrease Row 2: Knit every stitch
Decrease Row 3: *Knit 2 Together*, repeat across entire row (There should now be 16 stitches)
Decrease Row 4: Knit every stitch
Decrease Row 5: *Knit 2 Together*, repeat across entire row (There should now be 8 stitches)

-Cut the yarn, leaving a 2 foot tail, and thread onto the yarn needle. Thread it through the last 8 stitches on the needle and tighten it up in a circle. Sew down the back of the piece to close it into a Hat! Weave in the ends.

Beanie Baby Matching Hat:

-Using same yarn and needles, cast on 18 stitches. Knit until piece measures 2 inches
Decrease Row: *Knit 2 Together*, repeat across entire row. (There should now be 9 stitches)

-Cut the yarn, thread it onto the yarn needle, thread it through the last 9 stitches on the needle, tighten it up into a circle, and sew down the back of the piece. Weave in the ends.
